The magic and excitement of Christmas come to the Villa de Ingenio with an agenda full of activities to enjoy with the family, now available on the Town Hall website www.ingenio.es. The celebrations began on Friday, November 22, with the grand lighting of the Christmas luminary, an event that will be accompanied by workshops, parades and shows for all audiences.
The program includes a wide variety of activities that will continue until Three Kings Day. These include solidarity campaigns to collect toys, visits to nativity scenes, theater shows, Christmas carol recitals and concerts, as well as workshops and activities in different neighborhood associations. Families will also be able to enjoy the Children's-Family Theater Festival, the traditional living nativity scenes and the Christmas House. In addition, there will be no shortage of Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve celebrations to culminate with the visit of Their Majesties The Three Wise Men of the East.

Christmas is lived with joy and illusion in the streets of the Villa de Moya. And that is why a new edition of the ‘Christmas Market’ will be held, with the aim of the importance of the promotion and development of local trade to promote and enhance Christmas sales.
This year the ‘Christmas Market’ will take place
from 14th to 15th December. The timetable will be from Saturday, 14th December, from 17.00 to 21.00 hours, to Sunday, 15th December, from 10.00 to 14.00 hours, in the streets of the centre of the town of Moya.

- Christmas in Mogán
More than 50 free events make up the Christmas programme that will reach all the neighbourhoods of Mogán from the 30th of November to the eve of Three Kings Day. Organised by the Town Hall with the collaboration of the municipality's groups, the programme was announced this Friday by the Mayoress Onalia Bueno, and the Councillor for Events, Culture and Festivities, Mencey Santana.
The programme, which will conclude on the 5th of January, will include events such as the
Living Nativity Scene in Veneguera on the 25th of December, the New Year's Eve festivities in Arguineguín, Mogán town centre and Playa de Mogán, and the Three Wise Men's Cavalcade. In addition, there will be
concerts by the Mogán Municipal Band and the Mogán Artistic Schools, carol concerts with the parrandas of the municipality, workshops and family and children's shows. All free of charge.
The
Ornamental Nativity Scene in the Church of San Antonio de Padua, which will be open to the public after the 19:30 mass on Saturday 14th December, is a must in the Mogán Christmas season. On the same day, also in the church, the Encuentro de Villancicos will take place with the parrandas of the municipality, but it will not be the only one. The Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, in Arguineguín, will host another one on Saturday 21st December.
The concert ‘Será Navidad’ by Pedro Manuel Afonso in the Plaza de Las Gañanías in Playa de Mogán on 13th December at 20:30 hours, and as a novelty the Christmas parades that will be held in different parts of the municipality.
On Wednesday 18th December there will be a parade in Veneguera with the Mogán Art Schools; on Saturday 21st December it will be the parrandas who will take to the streets of Arguineguín; on Monday 23rd December Father Christmas will have his parade in Calle San José in the old town; Father Christmas will also be in the Barranco de Arguineguín under the organisation of the neighbourhood associations of the area on the 25th December; and there will be two more Christmas parades in Playa de Mogán and the old town on the 3rd and 4th January, respectively.
On the other hand, on
Monday 30th December, the Nicolás Quesada Park in the village of Mogán will host from 19:00 hours ‘Merca Navidad’, a Christmas market with crafts, gifts and food products, which will also be enlivened with a concert by Los Salvapantallas and Dj Promaster.
Nativity Scene, 37th anniversary
This December 25th, Christmas, the Living Nativity Scene in Veneguera will be 37 years old. The activity, organised by the Living Nativity Scene de Veneguera with the collaboration of the Ayuntamiento de Mogán, recreates a great sample of Canarian traditions, folklore, handicrafts and gastronomy. It will begin with the Christmas Mass in the local church at 17:30 and will take place from 19:00 until late at night in the area known as ‘La Cardonera’.
New Year's Eve in PUERTO RICO BEACH
For the first time a daytime party will take place on the beach of Puerto Rico on 31 December to toast the new year. It will start at 11:00 am and there will be live music with Aranzta Navarro, lucky grapes, champagne and more surprises.
The municipality will welcome 2025 with parties in the old town of Mogán, Arguineguín and Playa de Mogán with the participation of the groups Que Chimba, Leyenda Joven, Haché Tamarindos, Grupo Arena and the DJs Promaster and Juanjo.

On Friday 3rd January at 18:00 hours they will start their parade in Veneguera with stops in the town centre and Playa de Mogán. It will be in the latter, specifically in the Plaza Doctor Pedro Betancor León, where, after Manu Mago's show, they will collect the letters of wishes.
On Saturday 4th January the parade will start at 17:00 hours in Soria, from where it will make stops at the Plaza de Álamo y Mejías de Barranquillo Andrés, Plaza de Las Filipinas, Plaza de El Horno, Plaza Don Agustín López Álamo de Motor Grande and Plaza Sarmiento y Coto de Mogán casco. Their Majesties will receive the letters in the Centro Cultural El Mocán, where the show ‘Fun fun fun’ with Toto El Payaso will take place beforehand.
The traditional Cavalcade with Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar will take place on Sunday 5th January. It will start at 18:00 hours,
leaving from the Muelle de Arguineguín in the direction of Plaza Pérez Galdós, where they will be given the key to the municipality and the little ones will be able to hand in their letters. The first part will be silent.
On the same day, at 20:30 hours, the ‘Auto of Three Wise Men’ will be performed in the Church of San Antonio de Padua. This dramatic piece, of great historical and cultural value, reflects the experiences of the Three Wise Men during their journey to worship Jesus after his birth. This will bring the Christmas events in Mogán to an end.
-Maspalomas travels the world, Christmas 2024
The traditional Christmas switch-on will take place on Sunday 8th December at 20:00 hours in the Parque Sur Maspalomas. This year, the Christmas lights will be centralized in this point of the municipality, where the public will find a lighting project with elements in 2D and 3D format ranging from 1.5 meters to 12 meters high tranistables type and photocall, with more than 80 elements for the enjoyment of young and old’.
Christmas of the World', which will take place in the Parque Sur from 21 December to 4 January. It will feature a 200 square metre skating rink and a themed trail to explore the Christmas traditions of Germany, England, Italy, Spain, the United States, France and Finland.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a
mini-train through the park and the Christmas decorations as well as daily parades with Christmas characters represented by dance troupes, circus performers and giant puppets. For the little ones, there will be a photowall with children's characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Sonic, Mario Bros and Disney princesses.
